I’m Randy Paredes and I am Lead Pastor: Preaching. As my title indicates my main responsibility is to bring the word of God to us during our worship celebrations. I’m certainly not the only leader capable of doing so but it has clearly been confirmed as a spiritual gift and one which I deeply enjoy.
I graduated from Pacific Christian College (Hope International University) in 1989 and completed my graduate work there as well in 1996. Before assuming the role here at Florence Christian Church I was Youth Pastor at Discovery Christian Church in Moreno Valley for over 15 years and was an adjunct instructor at Hope International University from 2002-2004 in the area of Youth Ministry.
My wife’s name is Lydia and we have two children Linda (17) and Caleb (12). My hobbies are my children’s sports and broadcasting our high school basketball and baseball games on the radio. I’m a die-hard Los Angeles Dodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Lakers fan.
I find myself often hard pressed to pick a favorite Bible verse but lately Philippians 4:13 has been kicking around in my head, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
I’m Mike Blankenship and I’m the Lead Pastor: Development. My primary responsibilities include: leadership development, oversee Executive Building Committee, oversee/organize Community Groups, oversee day-to-day operations of FCC, and help with vision of mission of FCC.
I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Ministry and a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Hope International University in Fullerton, CA. I was a Youth Minister for 15 years at churches in Anaheim, Mission Viejo, and Lawndale, California, as well as a Senior Pastor in Lawndale for 5 years, prior to coming to Florence.
I have 5 children: Vanessa (23), twins Elijah and Brea (8), Jacob (6) and Micah (2). My wife, Natalie, and I have been married for 14 years. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and sports. I have coached Varsity Baseball at Siuslaw High school, as well as Youth football for the past two years. I also coached Middle School football this year. Having grown up in Los Angeles, I am a huge Dodger and Lakers fan!
I love watching people surrender their lives to Christ, seeing relationships restored and watching God move through people and I am very excited to be able to do that alongside the incredible staff and elders of FCC.
I’m Marty Adams, and I’m the Pastor of Worship and Fine Arts - I am originally from Los Angeles, California. I have been playing music for around 46 years. Thirty of those years were spent in professional music. I have worked as a studio musician in L.A. and Hollywood and spent time on the road playing music. During these years in professional music I have had the opportunity to open for and play with various artists such as Tanya Tucker, Exile, Collin Ray, Sawyer Brown and others. Throughout these years I have felt the call of God to bring my music back where it belongs.
I have been in the ministry for the past 15 years. It is a great honor to serve God in a place like Florence Oregon.
My wife, Jackie, and I enjoy living here on the Coast of Oregon and are excited to see how God is moving to bring revival to this region.
I’m Ahren Cahoon and I’m the Pastor of Student Ministries: I have been working with MS & HS Students for the last 15 years, and can’t imagine doing anything else. I grew up in Cincinnati, OH and Colorado Springs, CO. Attended Manhattan Christian College, and graduated from Colorado Christian University with a BA in Church/Para Church Youth Ministries.
I have 2 amazing children, Benjamin (12) & Brooklyn (9) with my wonderful wife Trudie. We love the Oregon Coast and the opportunity it brings for hiking, tide pool searching, movie watching (lots’a rain), playing games, and BBQing. We also love the different ministries God has placed each of us in. We, like God, are huge Denver Bronco fans…after all why else would sunsets be blue and orange?
Music seems like the fuel of my soul and lately ‘How He Loves’ by the David Crowder Band has been my inspiration for ministry.
Hi, my name is Jan Perkins I’m the Children’s Ministry Director of Florence Christian Church and the only one on staff that can say, “I was born and raised on the Oregon coast, a TRUE Oregonian!!!” My husband and I have lived in Florence for 35 years and our children were born and raised here.
I began volunteering in the Children’s Ministry about 10 years ago and would never have imagined God was leading me to full time Children’s Ministry! While serving as FCC’s office manager for 15 years I was asked to consider this position, the teacher’s devotion that week was God’s Word to me: “Those who follow Jesus sometimes find themselves serving in unexpected places. He (God) writes the scripts and casts the players, offering us the role of a lifetime. What will happen with God’s plan if we refuse to participate? Does God guide us into specific roles at specific times? Then pray this prayer: Lord Jesus, give me the courage to participate in the work you have for me and thank you for authoring the outcomes!” Wow!!! Was He talking to me or what?!!! Needless to say, I accepted and am now very EXCITED to be part of God’s plan as it unfolds right here at FCC!
Of course, you know I love anything to do with kids: kid’s music, kid’s crafts, kids’ conversations in the back seat of the car, kid’s laughter, the joy of God’s creation through the eyes of a child – sunsets, rainbows, kittens, bugs…(well maybe not bugs!) and the beauty all around us right here in God’s country, Florence, Oregon!

I’m Linda Dehn : I’m the church secretary, I lived in Pennsylvania most of my life and recently moved to Oregon a few years ago, knowing this is where God wanted me to be. Along with my husband Dann, I have two children, Vaughn and Danielle. My hobbies are reading, hiking, kayaking, traveling (when I can) and taking in the beauty of the Oregon coast.
My work background was in an insurance office for over 20 years. I started my job here at Florence Christian Church almost 2 years ago and have been incredibly blessed in this great new adventure God has called me to do. I love serving and giving so this is the perfect fit.

My name is Melanie Miller. I do the finances for the church and am thankful for the opportunity to serve in this position. I graduated from California State University in 1990 with a degree in Business Administration and Communications. I’ve haled various jobs with the Bureau of Reclamation and the Bureau of Land Management before moving to Oregon in 2005.
I am proud to say by the Grace of God I am a cancer survivor. The love of my life, my husband Tony, and I have been married for over twenty years. My joys are my kids and my grandkids. I love the outdoors, hiking, cycling and kayaking. My comfort comes from the Bible and the 23rd Psalm is my favorite.
