Hello church family. As you well know by now we have challenged our congregation to raise $5000 to fund, in its entirety, a well project through charity: water. To date we have raised more than $2700.00. This past Sunday Pastor Mike challenged each of us to make this more than just FCC’s cause, but also our own person cause this holiday season.

Here’s a few ideas on how to do that:
-Sponsor a ‘skip-lunch-day’ at your workplace where everyone donates what they would have spent to charity: water
-Ask your family or kids to give the gift of water instead of a present for you this Christmas
-Put an empty water bottle on the corner of your desk with a charity: water sign by it…
…or better yet carry one around with you everywhere you go with a dollar in it, when people ask what it’s for invite them to join you by donating something
-Add a link to the charity: water web site as a part of your signature on all emails you send out (that’s what I did 2 years ago)
-Do you work directly with the public? Ask your manager if you can create a display so all who walk through are given the chance to join in
-Get with a friend or coworker and come up with your own idea.

A few things to keep in mind. 884 million people don’t have access to clean drinking water. This problem can be alleviated in our lifetime, with our help. Every penny that is donated will go directly to fund a well project (charity: water pays for all administrative costs through other means). And few months after we’ve met our goal you will be able to share GPS coordinates as well as pictures from the exact well you helped to build.

Did you ever wonder what it would be like to experience intimacy with God? Prayer is God’s way of doing just that with us. He meets us at the point that we need Him to.  His Word says “whereever two or three are gathered there am I with them.” Praying alone is beautiful and meaningful but I must say praying with and among other believers in the body of Christ is an experience not soon forgotten. There is not much required, just your presence is enough to please God. Come just as you are.

Starts at 7:00 p.m.

The first 10 minutes will be for testimonies.

Then we will suggest some things to pray for and we will pray.

The Quest for Authentic Manhood is the foundational level or ground floor of manhood. This 24-session study focuses on a man’s core identity and gives an overview of basic manhood issues. It will help men deal with various identity issues by looking back at past wounds and other things that may have distorted their idea of biblical masculinity. Throughout the course of the study, men will learn how to clearly define manhood and will finally be able to give a succinct and passionate answer to the questions, “What is a man?” and “What am I living to be?” This captivating journey helps men:

Resolve wounds from their past.

Embrace a biblical definition of manhood.

Develop their own personal manhood plan.

“Heritage” is an opportunity to worship in an environment where we “look back to look ahead”. We look back through worship that allows us to remember our “Heritage” with a few more hymns and choruses, a choir number or two and a few “surprises” along the way. Make no mistake, this celebration isn’t just for the older folks, we will look ahead and introduce moments that also inspire the next generation as we look to what’s in store for us now and in the future. “Heritage” wants us to remember our roots but realize the church is called to leave a legacy for others.

“Generations” is a worship celebration designed to connect multiple generations all at once.  It is a worship experience that fits a variety of styles and tastes, by using multimedia and creative worship opportunities that connect with a wide variety of ages and styles. “Generations” will focus attention on the “Now” while keeping one eye on where we have come from.

It’s not better; it’s just “Different”. ”Different” is a progressive adventure in worship. No two weeks are exactly the same. Youthful exuberance is the order of the day and some things just happen! However, this is not just for the young, it is for anyone of any age who likes their worship well…”Different!”

What is a Community Group?

It is…

A Place of Vibrant Community…where you join with a group of 6-12 people who meet together in homes regularly for friendship, support, and spiritual growth.

A Place of Encourgagement…where the members of the group build each other up and encourage each other as your strive to become more faithful followers of Jesus Christ.

A Place of Spiritual Discovery…where the Bible is discussed and applied to the real situations of daily life. No previous Bible knowledge is necessary, just a heart that is open to God.

A Place of Prayer…where you bring your needs and the needs of others into the presence of a loving God who hears and responds.

A Place Where You Will Encourter God…as you discuss the Bible, as you pray, and as you encourage each other.
